Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Titanium Sapphire. Great watch, at a very good price (for me it was £431: £479 with another 10% off). Much cheaper than elsewhere. Everything smooth. Only thing awry was I specified for watch to arrive the following Monday, and it arrived early on Saturday (that was Royal Mail's fault, not FCW). I was in, so no problem :-)!

I wouldn't recommend a "regular" model for hiking. Without the maps it just becomes a regular sports watch, and you can get something cheaper that has those functions. Sapphire or Non-Sapphire: Sapphire models have a scratch-resistant glass. Sapphire crystal glass is the third hardest mineral, right behind diamond.
